Following are the policies that need to be observed while applying for a long or short leave:
- Leaving for reasons other than illness must be applied beforehand by the student to avail the leave.
- Urgent piece of work is to be specified and clearly stated in the leave.
- Usually, not more than two days leave is permitted to the student who has to attend some private or personal affair needing his/her immediate attendance.
- Applications for two or more than two days should be countersigned by a parent or the legal guardian.
- A medical certificate (MC) should be attached to the application in the following cases:
- Illness lasting five days or more.
- Illness immediately before and after the spring, summer and winter vacation.
- Illness on the days when the class tests and terminal examinations are held.
- The student remaining absent for five or more than five days a month, would end up with his/her name struck off the college Rolls.
Note: Failing to fulfil any of these guidelines could cause serious trouble for the student.
